About

A little about me…

I grew up in Arizona and became a high school history teacher. I love history and I loved hanging out with teenagers all day! A few years ago, my husband, daughter and I packed up our house in AZ and moved to Northern Michigan. To keep my desert blood warm in the Great White North, I immediately took up knitting and it quickly became an obsession! Though I loved knitting, I had a hard time finding the exact colors I wanted to work with. I began to create my own colors, experimenting with different techniques and fibers. Thus, BrittyRaeKnits was born!

I spend my days knitting, dyeing yarn and taking care of my kiddos (I have 2 now!). I also love to read, cook, and garden. I have a healthy obsession with Disney’s Sleeping Beauty (and most other Disney movies), Wonder Woman, and The Pioneer Woman. My husband is my best friend and I LOVE hearing from all of you!
